Trade Fair

The 2008 TAG Trade Fair and Conference was a great success, selling out all exhibitor space. Held at the Telstra Dome, Docklands, Melbourne, over 120 companies presented their products and services to more than 210 delegates attending from around Australia

This event, the flagship event on our calendar, is held each September and is growing in size and scope each year.

It also incorporates the annual conference of our sister organisation, ACUMA Inc, with special interest group seminars and sessions across the three days, as well as the ACUMA Inc awards, presented at the fantastic social evening. This results in a greater number and broader range of Member delegates.

These delegates are all decision makers at some level in their respective organisations who come to listen to tender presentation, be introduced to and sample new products and services and to cast their votes for contracts. Accordingly, exhibitor stalls at the TAG Trade Fairs are keenly sought after by suppliers.

The Monday Social Dinner was a fun night with 300 delegates and exhibitors starting the evening with drinks and canapés on the turf of the world-class Telstra Dome Stadium before a three course meal in the Medallion Club overlooking Victoria Harbour.

The after-Trade Show networking event was a less-formal affair opportunity for all parties to network over a drink. Many thanks to our sponsors Lion Nathan Australia, Constellation Wines and ASM Liquor.

TAG Trade Fair timetables generally run as follows:

  • Day 1: Bump-in to the Trade Fair occurs concurrently with presentations by tenderers to Members in a closed room environment. These presentations are in great demand, and bookings are issued on a first come, first served basis. The Trade Fair Dinner for delegates and exhibitors is held in the evening and is an excellent opportunity to eat and drink well and socialise.
